Stand with Hong Kong

In September 2019, citizens in Hong Kong continued the Anti-Extradition Law Amendment Bill Movement originating from the introduction of a bill in March earlier that year by the Hong Kong government to allow extraditions of people to mainland China.

Tens of thousands of people took to the streets of Hong Kong as the largest demonstration in the history of the country to protest the bill in fear of China’s looming threat to Hong Kong’s independence.

Police in Hong Kong used excessive force during these protests by deploying pepper spray, water canons, tear gas and batons to disperse crowds.
